  1. Brief paperwork

Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. It provides us with general information about yourself and your condition.

  2. Consultation

Once the paperwork is complete, you will promptly be brought into an examination room by our chiropractic assistant, who will review your paperwork and take your vital signs.

  3. History & examination

The doctor conducts an extensive chiropractic, orthopedic and neurological examination to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.

  4. X-ray studies

Your specific condition may require x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan.

  5. Same-day treatment

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during this same visit.

  6. Home instructions

You’ll receive instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home — ice or heat application, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.

  7. Follow-up scheduling

Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1–2 days depending on your specific condition.

Health Newsletter & Blog

Back-to-School Spine Health

Our latest health newsletter looks at the physical strain on students from backpacks, desk work and screen time — and when to have a chiropractor take a look.

  • Backpacks: guidelines suggest keeping a pack to around 10% of a child’s body weight, but how it’s carried matters more — use both straps and keep the bag close to the body.
  • Screens: head-down, rounded-shoulder posture comes from staying static. The body benefits from movement and changing positions.
  • Chiropractic approach: recurring neck or back complaints may call for an evaluation, spinal adjustments, mobility work and movement advice — don’t dismiss them as “growing pains.”
  • Red flags: seek prompt medical attention for significant pain, night pain with fever, weakness, numbness or neurological symptoms.

Want the newsletter? Ask for it at your next visit or call (508) 588-3322.
